Guns N’ Roses poised to announce world tour!

Posted in News on April 30th, 2009

Guns N’ Roses are poised to announce dates for their Chinese Democracy world tour according to guitarist Richard Fortus.

In an interview this past Monday (April 27) with Missouri radio station KDHX 88.1 FM, Fortus said:

“I’ve been in rehearsals with Guns for the last little bit here – focusing more on that world right now and we, hopefully, will be announcing dates soon, I hope.”

The guitarist added that the band are likely to announce Europea shows first.

“I don’t know of any dates in the US yet,” he continued. “I haven’t heard any talk. I’m sure that we will. Right now that’s not where the focus is; I know that we’re gonna be probably announcing other dates first.”

Seeing as GN’R took nearly 15 years to release Chinese Democracy, we could be waiting a while…

Hayley Williams impersonator on Twitter!

Posted in News on April 28th, 2009

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has slammed an impostor who was using her identity on popular blogging site Twitter.

“I know that most of you saw [twitter.com/hayleyparamore, which has since been taken down] and already got that it wasn’t me,” wrote Williams on her blog. “However, for the precious few that might’ve thought it was real… It’s not!

“The truth is I’ve been trying to hold off on the Twitter thing,” continued the singer. “I dunno why I resist. It’s like another iPhone for me. What is my deal!? I’m sure I’ll eventually fall into it and fall in love with it, but for now, I do not have a Twitter. So don’t believe it ’til you hear it from me first!”

However, despite her initial reservations, Williams also revealed that she is not adverse to getting a Twitter account in the future.

“I’m sure someone will talk me into it eventually,” she said. “Twitter Twatter. I shouldn’t dog it… [It's] only a matter of time.”

Wentz: “I’m convinced someone is going to kill me”!

Posted in News on April 27th, 2009

Pete Wentz is apparently convinced that someone is going to murder him in his own home.

Speaking to Now magazine, the Fall Out Boy bassist has said he’s too scared to open the front door.

The Fall Out Boy star, 29, has convinced himself he’s going to be attacked and killed.

“I used to think that some day I’d end up murdering a close friend or relative,’ he said. “Now it’s reversed and I’m convinced it’s going to happen to me. That’s the way I’m going out, I’m completely sure of it. So I refuse to answer the front door – it greatly minimises that risk.”

Posted in News on April 16th, 2009

It was the Tweet heard ’round the scene: William Beckett of The Academy Is… has announced he collaborated with Disney star Demi Lovato on a song for her second album.

And of course, Williams fans reacted in a mature, sensible fashion.  Those that enjoy Demi’s work commended him and those who are not her biggest fans were able to rationally handle the fact that William, an artist they enjoy, was working with someone they don’t.

Oh, who am I kidding?  The internet went apeshit.

Keep in mind, awhile back Demi revealed that William is her celebrity crush, prompting William to record and release a video message for her.
