AC/DC are celebrating after their new album, Black Ice, took the Number One sport on the British album charts yesterday.
This is the Anglo Aussie band’s first Number One album since Back In Black topped the charts 28 years ago.

In a bid to get Axl Rose to release his long-awaited album Chinese Democracy, Dr. Pepper had promised everyone in the US – excluding former guitarists Slash and Buckethead – a free can of their fizzy drink if it hits the shelves this year.
With a US release date now confirmed of November 23 (UK release looking likely on November 24), Dr. Pepper have announced that they will go ahead with their promise!
“We never thought this day would come,” says Tony Jacobs, vice president of marketing for Dr Pepper. “But now that it’s here all we can say is: The Dr Pepper’s on us.”

Yesterday we found out that Kill Hannahs tour bus was completely engulfed with fire and everything destroyed, leaving the bands & crew with nothing. This includes all clothes, passports, money, laptops & personal effects.

TOUR BUS FIRE- UPDATE I have been in close contact and the bands and crew are fine. They are staying in Switzerland tomorrow to sort out temporary passports in Bern etc. The concerts in PARIS and HASSELT are CANCELLED- our apologies to all the fans who have bought tickets or were going. They are planning to get to Stoke and carry on from there, so the NEXT CONCERT is SUGARMILL in STOKE on Friday (after a bit of shopping for stuff to wear!) Thank you so much for all your messages and comments- it’s great to know you care

Marilyn Manson, both the band and their eponymous frontman, have never been known to mince their words, and their latest exploits are no exception.
During an interview on the red carpet of the 2009 Scream Awards in Los Angeles this past Saturday (October 18) the band waded into the US presidential debate by branding the Republican party’s vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor “a whore”.
When asked by one interviewer what he thought of Sarah Palin, the Double M replied:
“I haven’t slept with her and I wouldn’t. And I don’t really care for Alaska.”
When another interviewer attempted to ask a question about the horror movie awards ceremony they were attending, bassist Twiggy Ramirez chipped in:
“Sarah Palin is a whore, yeah.”
We have just had word from Kill Hannah that their tour bus caught fire in the Swiss Alps.
The band have lost all their possessions that we on the bus, and will update Kerrang! shortly as to whether their upcoming UK dates will be affected.
We have had the following message from the band’s management:
“Well it is literally going down now…the fire is going out, and they are letting firefighters on the bus to see if there is anything salvageable.
Bus was driving from Bologna Italy where they played last night to Paris for show tomorrow. They are in the Swiss Alps, closest city is Airolo, Switzerland.
They were sleeping and bus filled with smoke and they realized it was on fire…something from the engine must’ve started it…the bunks are all pretty much melted…but everyone is out alive and uninjured, which is the important thing.
Apparently the bunk section is particularly bad, some of the bunks collapsed onto each other and melted….”
