Dave Grohl Announces Foo Fighters Break: ‘I Think It’s Time’
After 13 years and 6 records, Foo Fighters has announced that the band is going on hiatus! I mean, after three years of non-stop touring, they need a vacation, right?
“We’ve never really taken a long break, I think it’s time,” singer Dave Grohl told BBC 1 Radio. According to NME, the band announced that their will not a followup record to 2007′s Echos, Silence, Patience and Grace in the near future … but it’s not the end of the band.
Overkill may be the main reason behind the hiatus as Grohl also told BBC 1, “We’re over in the UK every year, every summer, so I think it’s time to take a break and come back over when people really miss us.” Perhaps he doesn’t want fans to get bored of seeing the Foo’s in concert a few times a year? At least you can be sure that the radio will never stop playing them!
